About the role and where you'll be working:
Caring for the local Broome community since ****, Germanus Kent House provides accommodation and support to 55 residents.
As a Carer, you'll be playing an important role assisting residents with their daily activities such as showering & getting dressed.
We want them feel protected, and at home in our facilities.
We're a tight knit team at each of our facilities, and this goes a long way to ensure that we can manage our busy schedules, whilst sharing some laughs and banter.
This is a casual Care Worker role working across morning and afternoon shifts.
Your responsibilities
Carefully read & follow care plans
Assist with personal care
Work under the guidance of Shift Managers (Nursing & Facility)
Treat our residents & their family with respect
Show compassion & exercise patience
About You
You are someone who connects with the values of Southern Cross Care WA and understands the meaningful impact this role has on the lives of older people.
You're confident working independently and find fulfilment in spending time with elderly residents, supporting them with dignity and kindness.
To be considered for this role you'll need
A Certificate III in Aged Care/ Individual Care
Initiative & the ability to effectively prioritise & multitask
Great communication skills (spoken & written)
Attention to detail for good record keeping
