Sharp & Carter

Sydney

Sharp & Carter Healthcare is partnering with an established and growing allied health provider to appoint a Senior Physiotherapist to establish and grow their Physiotherapy presence in Sydney.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist who wants more than simply inheriting an existing caseload.

As the first Physiotherapist within the Sydney team, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of the local Physiotherapy service, build strong relationships across the community and play an important role in shaping how the service develops as the organisation continues to grow.

Ideally based in Western Sydney, you'll provide high-quality community-based Physiotherapy services supporting clients to maintain their mobility, independence and quality of life within their own homes.

The Opportunity
Initially, your role will have a strong clinical focus as you establish the Physiotherapy service and build your local caseload.

As the Sydney service grows, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to clinical development, mentoring, recruitment and the growth of the local Physiotherapy team.

You'll also be supported by experienced clinical leadership and a broader multidisciplinary allied health team.

Clinical Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:

- Assessing clients within their homes and community
- Developing individualised, evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation plans
- Supporting clients to improve mobility, strength, balance and functional independence
- Applying advanced clinical reasoning across a range of presentations
- Providing expert advice regarding treatment and rehabilitation options
- Falls prevention and mobility interventions
- Exercise prescription and rehabilitation
- Maintaining accurate and compliant clinical documentation
- Working collaboratively with clients, families, carers and other healthcare professionals
- Identifying opportunities to improve clinical processes and service delivery
- Contributing to the development of clinical programs and resources

Build & Shape the Sydney Service What makes this chance different is the chance to be the first Physiotherapist on the ground in Sydney.

You'll have the opportunity to:

- Establish the Physiotherapy service locally
- Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Help shape clinical processes and service delivery across Sydney
- Contribute ideas around how the local service should operate and grow
- Support recruitment as additional Physiotherapists join the Sydney team
- Mentor and develop clinicians as the team expands
- Contribute to broader clinical training and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Work closely with senior clinical leadership to maintain high standards of care

This could particularly suit an experienced Physiotherapist who wants to move towards leadership and service development while remaining clinically involved.

What's On Offer?
You'll be joining a growing allied health organisation that places a strong emphasis on clinician autonomy, development and quality of care.
Benefits include:

- Competitive remuneration package
- Generous travel allowance
- $1,500+ annual professional development allowance
- Opportunity to be the first Physiotherapist within the Sydney team
- Genuine opportunity to shape and grow a new local service
- Future mentoring and leadership opportunities as the team expands
- Regular clinical training and professional development
- Structured onboarding and induction
- Support from experienced clinical leadership
- Autonomy over your community-based caseload
- Flexible working environment
- Health and wellbeing initiatives
- Employee Assistance Program

- Regular team connection and social activities
- Salary packaging options
- Novated vehicle leasing options
- Strong focus on work-life balance

About You
We're looking for an experienced Physiotherapist who is clinically confident, autonomous and excited by the opportunity to help establish a growing service.

To be considered, you will ideally have:

- Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent recognised qualification
- Current AHPRA registration
- Approximately 4+ years of Physiotherapy experience
- Strong clinical assessment and reasoning skills
- Experience managing a community-based or mobile caseload
- Ability to work confidently and autonomously
- Previous mentoring, supervision or leadership experience would be highly regarded
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong organisational and time-management capabilities
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Reliable access to a vehicle
- Ideally located in Western Sydney or comfortable servicing clients across the region

Experience within community, aged care, rehabilitation, home-based care or similar settings would be highly regarded.

Why Consider This Opportunity?
For the right Physiotherapist, this is an opportunity to get in at the beginning of the Sydney Physiotherapy service rather than joining an already established team.

You'll have the autonomy to establish your local caseload and influence how Physiotherapy services are delivered, with the potential to take on greater leadership responsibilities as the Sydney team grows.

If you're an experienced Physiotherapist looking for clinical autonomy, career progression and the opportunity to genuinely put your stamp on a growing service, we'd love to hear from you.
