Join the Pharmacy team at Westmead Hospital, a major tertiary referral hospital and a leading centre for complex cancer care. As the Cancer Services Clinical Lead, you will play a key role in advancing specialised pharmacy services and supporting high-quality outcomes for patients receiving cancer treatment.

You will work alongside experienced pharmacists, oncologists, cancer clinicians and multidisciplinary teams in a team-oriented environment where clinical expertise, innovation and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Lead and support the delivery of specialised, patient-centred cancer pharmacy services.

Work closely with multidisciplinary cancer teams to optimise chemotherapy and supportive care therapies.

Contribute to local and state-wide cancer therapeutic committees and professional practice initiatives.

Support the safe, effective and cost-conscious use of high-risk cancer medicines.

What you'll be doing
As the Senior Pharmacist - Cancer Services Clinical Lead, you will provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership across cancer pharmacy services, helping to ensure patients receive safe, effective and evidence-based treatment.

Provide expert pharmaceutical care,



including pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic advice for cancer treatment prescribing and verification.

Partner with cancer clinicians to develop and maintain evidence-based treatment protocols using the cancer electronic management system.

Lead quality improvement initiatives and develop policies, protocols and guidelines supporting the quality use of cancer medicines.

Support the cancer chemotherapy production service and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, NSW Health and local requirements.

Coordinate access to specialised cancer treatments through the PBS, Clinical Trials and Special Access Scheme (SAS), while providing education and advice to healthcare professionals.

Essential Criteria

Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions e.g Bachelor of Pharmacy. Must satisfy Grade 3 classification as per Health Employees Pharmacists (State) Award

Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA

Selection Criteria

Demonstrated excellent and effective communication skills.

Demonstrated extensive experience and skills in providing safe and efficacious cancer clinical pharmacy services that enhance patient outcomes.





Demonstrated excellent cancer therapeutic knowledge and ability to exercise a high level of initiative in the application of pharmaceutical principles to clinical practice and individualised patient care.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to effect practice change.

Demonstrated experience in clinical research, quality improvement and teaching activities.

Demonstrated excellent organisational and prioritisation skills to manage complex workload and meet deadlines.

Demonstrated high skills in information technology: using electronic medication management systems, dispensing applications, database management, spreadsheet, and word processing programs.
