About the role:

The Principal Project Officer is integral to the Priority Projects and Reform Branch, providing comprehensive support and administration across all project phases. This role requires a proactive, adaptable skilled, developing delivery plans, managing finances, identifying risks, and ensuring funding processes are embedded throughout the health system and our Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.

About you:

- Offers strategic guidance and operational support to deliver impactful, culturally grounded projects.
- Fosters collaboration to ensure transparency and accountability, and upholds the principles of self-determination, playing a crucial role in enhancing outcomes for Aboriginal communities and driving system-wide reform.
- Work flexibly across the Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Division to support other teams and divisional priorities as required, contributing, coordinating and leading to advance whole‑of‑division objectives.
- Cultural Knowledge and expertise including the ability to identify emerging issues, trends and potential risks that impact upon Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.




- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in project support and management.
