Moranbah Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join its Emergency Department on a contract basis from late September through early November 2026. This is a five-week opportunity in rural Queensland, offering up to 80 hours per fortnight across rotating 8- and 12-hour shifts. The successful candidates will earn between AUD$55.65 and AUD$70.82 per hour, bringing their emergency and rural nursing expertise to a busy regional facility.

Preferred Requirements

- Demonstrated experience in emergency nursing within a rural or regional setting




- Strong clinical assessment and triage skills in a fast-paced emergency environment
- Familiarity with Queensland Health systems, including ieMR, FirstNet, PowerChart, and HBCIS
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a small emergency team
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration
- Previous experience working within Queensland Health or Mackay Hospital and Health Service
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or willingness to obtain it
