This is a hands-on Financial Accountant opportunity offering ownership of month-end, financial reporting, reconciliations and analysis, with broader exposure to budgeting, forecasting and process improvement.

Working within an established finance team and alongside senior finance leadership, you’ll play an important role in maintaining strong financial control, producing accurate and meaningful reporting and helping the business better understand its financial performance.

Responsibilities:

- Managing month-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Preparing monthly financial and management reports
- Maintaining balance sheet integrity and accurate financial records
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
- Completing variance analysis and investigating financial performance
- Assisting with year-end processes, audit requirements and statutory reporting
- Preparing or supporting BAS, GST and other compliance obligations
- Working with stakeholders throughout the business to understand financial results
- Supporting improvements to reporting, systems, controls and finance processes
- Providing analysis and insight to senior finance leaders to support decision-making

About You:

- Previous experience in a Financial Accountant, Assistant Accountant or similar role
- Solid month-end, reconciliation and financial reporting experience
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- CA or CPA qualification,



or be working towards completion
- Strong Excel capability and experience working with accounting or large ERP systems
- Good understanding of financial controls and accounting principles
- The ability to investigate discrepancies and understand what is driving the numbers
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders outside of finance
