An established and growing commercial builder is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its North Sydney team.
The company has operated for more than 15 years and delivers commercial construction, fit-out and refurbishment projects across hospitality, education, retail and workplace sectors.
With turnover exceeding $50 million and continued year-on-year growth, this is an opportunity to join a well-established builder with a strong pipeline of projects across NSW.
The role
You will take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and the internal delivery team.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing projects from award through to handover
- Establishing construction programs, procurement schedules and project budgets
- Managing consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
- Overseeing contract administration, variations, EOTs and progress claims
- Monitoring project costs, forecasting and cash flow
- Coordinating design and resolving technical issues
- Managing client and stakeholder relationships
- Leading site and project teams
- Maintaining safety, quality and environmental standards
- Reporting on program, commercial performance and project risk
About you
- Previous experience as a Project Manager with an Australian commercial builder
- Demonstrated delivery of commercial projects valued between $5M and $30M
- Experience across new builds, fit-outs or refurbishments
- Strong commercial, programming and contract administration skills
- Ability to manage projects in live or operational environments
- Confident managing clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Relevant construction management, building or engineering qualification
- Robust leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
