Help build stronger, more connected communities across Clarence. This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly with local communities, turning ideas into action through place-based community development, partnerships and meaningful engagement.

What you’ll be doing

- Build trusted relationships with community groups, residents, volunteers and local organisations.

- Identify community strengths, priorities and emerging needs through engagement and research.

- Develop and deliver projects, programs and initiatives that strengthen community capacity, resilience and participation.

- Connect communities with Council services, funding opportunities and external supports.

- Contribute to the implementation of Council's Community Wellbeing Strategy and other initiatives.

- Work collaboratively across Council and with community partners to deliver positive outcomes for Clarence.

What you’ll bring

- Qualifications in community development, social sciences, human services, public policy or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Experience in community development, community engagement or project delivery.

- Strong understanding of place-based community development and community engagement principles.

- Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

- Excellent communication, organisation and project management skills.

- National police check certificate dated within 6 months and a registration to work with vulnerable people in Tasmania.

- Base salary between $96,696.79 and $107,484.22 pro-rata (depending on skills and experience) + 13.5% superannuation
