As we continue to grow and mature our enterprise systems landscape, we are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Manager to provide technical leadership across our SAP S/4HANA Global Template environment.

This is a rare opportunity to own the technical direction, stability, governance and continuous improvement of a complex SAP ecosystem supporting critical business operations across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, warehousing and project delivery functions.

Reporting into the ERP leadership team, you will serve as the technical authority for SAP, leading internal specialists, consulting partners and cross-functional teams to ensure the platform remains secure, scalable, reliable and aligned to business objectives.

About the Role

As SAP Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the technical leadership and operational excellence of Hanwha Defence Australia's SAP S/4HANA solution, spanning 13 integrated business modules including:

- Finance, Controlling and Treasury (FI/CO/TR)
- Materials Management (MM)
- Production Planning (PP)
- Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
- Supply Chain Management (SCM)
- Project Systems (PS)
- Quality Management (QM)
- Plant Maintenance (PM)
- Logistics Execution (LE)
- Integration and middleware platforms

You will drive solution sustainability, oversee technical delivery, manage cross-functional dependencies and lead the continuous improvement of enterprise processes across the SAP landscape.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical leadership across SAP S/4HANA and supporting technologies.
- Lead SAP functional consultants, ABAP developers, integration specialists, technical consultants and external delivery partners.
- Drive production stability through proactive monitoring,



issue management and technical governance.
- Lead root cause analysis and sustainable resolution of complex, recurring system and business process issues.
- Coordinate critical business activities including month-end processing and financial close support.
- Oversee change management, release management, enhancement delivery and service management processes.
- Ensure technical changes are assessed for end-to-end business impacts across multiple SAP modules and integrated systems.
- Manage integration architecture and delivery across SAP and connected enterprise applications.
- Review and approve technical designs, development standards and solution architectures.
- Oversee setting management, transport governance and technical roadmap planning.
- Partner with business stakeholders and process owners to optimise ERP capabilities and improve business outcomes.
- Mentor and develop technical teams while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.

About You

You are an experienced SAP leader who combines deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement and delivery capability. You thrive in complex enterprise environments and have a proven track record leading teams through large-scale SAP implementations, upgrades and ongoing optimisation initiatives.

Essential Experience

- Extensive experience delivering and supporting SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Proven leadership experience within large-scale ERP transformation programs.
- Strong technical knowledge across SAP landscapes including:
- SAP S/4HANA
- FI/CO/TR
- PP, MM,



QM, PM, LE, EWM and PS
- SAP ABAP Development
- SAP PI/PO
- SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)

- Experience managing cross-functional teams and external delivery partners.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, integration and governance practices.
- Experience working within Agile and contemporary product delivery environments.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline.
- SAP certifications in PP, EWM and/or MM highly regarded.
