Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth’s Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.

ANI plays a pivotal role in delivering Australia’s naval shipbuilding capability, contributing to one of the nation’s most significant and complex infrastructure programs. Based in Adelaide, our work underpins the future of naval shipbuilding through world-class infrastructure at Osborne.

ANI has an opportunity for an experienced Strategic Communications Manager to join its Communications and Engagement team in Adelaide.

Reporting to the Head of Communications and Engagement, you will play a key role in supporting CEO and Executive communications, issues and crisis response, media engagement and stakeholder positioning across a high-profile and nationally significant environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Deliver strategic, executive and issues communications aligned with ANI’s priorities and major program milestones

- Develop CEO and Executive communications, media materials and key messaging for internal and external audiences

- Coordinate issues and crisis communications, ensuring timely, accurate and consistent messaging through appropriate approval pathways

- Manage ANI’s editorial calendar and communications workflow, maintaining quality and consistency across internal channels

- Build trusted relationships with government, industry, media and community stakeholders while supporting ANI’s reputation and external positioning

About You:

You will be an experienced communications professional with excellent judgement, strong writing capability and the confidence to operate in complex, fast-paced and high-profile environments. Working closely with senior executives,



you will manage sensitive and time-critical communications, translate complex or technical information into clear and audience-appropriate messaging, and build trusted relationships across executive, operational and external stakeholder groups through a collaborative, pragmatic and delivery-focused approach.

You will also have:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience, with a robust understanding of government, media, industry and community stakeholder environments

- Solid experience across strategic, executive, internal communications or corporate affairs within a complex, regulated or high-profile environment

- Excellent writing, editing and quality assurance skills, with experience preparing executive, government, media and public-facing materials

- Demonstrated ability to translate complex organisational priorities, technical information and emerging issues into clear, audience-appropriate communications
