About the Role

Little Pioneers Early Learning Centre is seeking a qualified and experienced early childhood educator to join our team in Coffs Harbour, NSW. This is a full-time position offering the prospect to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children during their crucial early years. As a member of our early learning community, you will work in a nurturing, play-based environment that promotes child development, creativity, and social-emotional growth. This role is integral to our mission of providing high-quality childcare and education that supports families and helps children flourish.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Planning, implementing and evaluating engaging educational programs that support children's learning and development across all developmental areas

- Providing direct care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety, comfort and wellbeing at all times

- Developing positive relationships with children and families, fostering a sense of belonging and community within the centre

- Supporting children's physical, emotional, social and cognitive development through purposeful play and learning experiences

- Maintaining accurate and detailed observations and documentation of children's progress and development

- Collaborating with colleagues and families to ensure consistency of care and support for each child's individual needs

- Following health, safety and hygiene protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements and centre policies

- Contributing to a welcoming, inclusive and culturally diverse environment that celebrates all families

- Participating in professional development and staying current with best practices in early childhood education

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent recognised qualification)





- Current First Aid and CPR certification appropriate for children

- A valid Working With Children Check (WWC)

- A passion for working with young children and fostering their development and wellbeing

- Excellent communication skills with both children and families

- The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

- A commitment to maintaining a safe, clean and inclusive learning environment

- Flexibility and adaptability in responding to children's individual needs and interests

- A genuine enthusiasm for continuous professional development and best practice in early childhood education

Prior experience working in an early learning setting or childcare environment is highly valued.
