SAG Workforce is seeking an experienced all round Concreter/Formworker to work with a civil construction contractor delivering government structural concrete and rehabilitation projects.

The role is primarily based in Toowoomba, with opportunities to work on regional projects away from Toowoomba.

Key Responsibilities

- Structural concrete construction and rehabilitation works
- Formwork installation, boxing, stripping and preparation
- Concrete placement, screeding, finishing and curing
- Concrete breakout, demolition and surface preparation
- Patching, grouting and repair of damaged concrete
- Crack injection and joint repairs
- Installation of reinforcement, dowels and chemical anchors
- Steel fixing and reinforcement replacement
- Application of protective coatings, sealants and repair mortars
- Construction and repair of culverts, headwalls, bridges, pits and drainage structures
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Operating hand and power tools used in concrete rehabilitation
- Completing works in accordance with government quality, environmental and safety requirements

Skills and Experience

- Proven experience in structural concreting, civil formwork or concrete rehabilitation
- Strong all-round formwork and concrete-finishing capabilities
- Experience with repair mortars, non-shrink grout and concrete patching products
- Knowledge of concrete breakout, preparation and reinstatement processes
- Ability to construct and repair structural concrete elements




- Experience working around bridges, culverts, drainage structures or transport infrastructure is highly regarded
- Ability to read plans, set out basic works and follow technical specifications
- Understanding of quality requirements, including pre-pour inspections and concrete records
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a civil construction crew

Essential Requirements

- Construction White Card
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Relevant trade qualification or extensive industry experience
- Willingness to work a 10/4 roster and travel when required
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and government project requirements
- Robust commitment to safety, quality and environmental compliance
