Project Manager – Site Delivery | Melbourne

Own the site. Lead the team. Be the client’s go-to person.

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager – Site Delivery to take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of our projects across Melbourne and Victoria.

This isn't a project management role where you'll spend your week sitting behind a laptop updating schedules.

We need someone who is comfortable being on site, understands technically complex equipment and systems, can lead people and contractors, and has the confidence to be our primary day-to-day interface with the client.

You'll have the backing of our engineering, project, procurement and technical teams, but when it comes to getting the job delivered on site, you'll be the person driving it.

What You'll Be Responsible For

You'll take responsibility for the site delivery of assigned projects, including:

- Leading day-to-day project and site activities.

- Acting as the primary client contact during project execution.

- Coordinating Eneraque personnel, subcontractors and suppliers.

- Managing project programs, look-ahead schedules and site priorities.

- Understanding the technical scope and coordinating engineering and site interfaces.

- Identifying and resolving technical, construction and installation issues.

- Coordinating mechanical, electrical, controls and other project disciplines.

- Managing RFIs, technical queries and site changes.

- Monitoring contractor performance, quality and productivity.

- Identifying scope changes and potential variations.

- Driving testing, commissioning, defect close-out and project handover.

- Maintaining robust safety and quality standards.

- Providing clear reporting on progress,



risks, issues and upcoming activities.

Most importantly, you'll take ownership.

When something is getting in the way of delivery, we want someone who identifies it early, works out what needs to happen and drives the issue through to resolution.

What We're Looking For

Your background could be project management, project engineering, electrical, mechanical, power generation, industrial construction or another technically complex project environment.

What matters is that you can demonstrate:

- Strong experience delivering projects in a site environment.

- Good technical capability and the ability to understand engineered equipment and systems.

- Experience managing trades, contractors and small project teams.

- Confidence dealing directly with clients, engineers and other stakeholders.

- The ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

- Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving capability.

- Commercial awareness around scope, variations and contractor management.

- A practical approach and willingness to get involved when a project needs attention.

- Solid communication skills and professional client presence.

- The ability to work autonomously and make sensible decisions.

An electrical, mechanical,



engineering or relevant trade qualification would be well regarded, although genuine project-delivery experience is more important to us than the letters after your name.

The Type of Person Who Will Do Well Here

You'll probably enjoy this role if you're someone who likes being close to the action.

You're comfortable walking a site in the morning, solving a technical or contractor issue before lunch, sitting in a client progress meeting in the afternoon and then making sure the wider project team knows exactly what needs to happen next.

You don't hide problems and you don't simply pass them upstream.

You bring issues forward early, have a view on the solution and follow through until they're closed.

You'll also understand that good project management isn't just about keeping the client happy. It's about delivering what we've committed to, managing scope properly, protecting the commercial position of the business and maintaining strong long-term relationships.
