We are currently seeking applications for a suitably qualified and experienced Project Manager with extensive workshop fabrication experience for our great local team.
Role & Responsibilities.
The Project Manager's main duty is to productively manage & control fabrication projects within IKAD's Henderson workshop.
Manage fabrication projects valued between $50K to $5M
- Provide and maintain a healthy and safe work environment in accordance with IKAD's Health and Safety Policy.
- Co-ordinate resources, scheduling and activities to effectively manage jobs and report of progression of all projects.
- Manage fabrication projects, including pipework, platework & structural.
- Review & prepare fabrication quotations
- Procure materials for all projects from approved suppliers, with oversight on job progress costing.
- Effectively manage sub-contractors.
- Develop and promote good communications between all levels of staff and employees.
- Ensure that direct labour is efficiently organised and utilised to achieve outcome.
- Develop and promote a professional working relationship with authorities, client consultants and the community.
What you will bring to the team:
- Trade Qualification (Metal Fabrication)
- Extensive Supervision and Management experience within a Heavy-Duty Fabrication Workshop Environment.
- Minimum 5 years of supervision and management experience within a Heavy-Duty Fabrication Workshop Environment
- Good Knowledge and Understanding of Work Safe Regulations.
- 'C' Class Driver's License.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- The ability to prioritise conflicting priority, complex problem solving and working under pressure.
