I’m looking for a strong Cyber Security Business Partner to join a growing cyber security function within an Australian organisation.
This is a genuinely business-facing cyber role. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across the organisation, helping them understand their cyber risk, make better risk decisions and embed security into projects, operations and strategic change.
The focus is less about being able to influence, advise and champion security across the business.
Key areas will include:
- Acting as a trusted cyber adviser to senior business and technology stakeholders
- Conducting cyber risk assessments and helping the business understand and manage its risk profile
- Translating technical security issues into clear, practical business language
- Championing cyber security awareness and improving security culture
- Supporting secure-by-design across new projects and technology change
- Helping drive remediation of cyber risks, vulnerabilities and control gaps
- Working closely with Risk,
Technology, Legal, Procurement and other business functions
- Ensure risks are identified and remediated by conducting Architectural Threat Risk Assessments (TRAs) and Security Solution Assessments (SSAs) on new projects.
- Supporting security governance, risk reporting and regulatory requirements
I’m interested in people with experience across Cyber Risk, GRC, Security Business Partnering, BISO, Security Architecture or Technology Risk who have developed solid commercial and stakeholder management skills.
You’ll need enough technical security knowledge to challenge and advise effectively, but the differentiator will be your ability to build relationships, influence senior stakeholders and make cyber security relevant to the business.
Sydney based.
If this sounds like you, or you know someone strong in this space, please apply or contact Robert Clewlow.
