COMM ONE is a Brisbane-based electronic security and communications contractor delivering CCTV, access control, intercom, alarm and structured cabling solutions across commercial, construction and live operating environments. We work with builders, property managers, venues and organisations throughout Brisbane and South East Queensland.

The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Security Technician who can work confidently across commercial sites and handle both project and service work. You will be trusted to organise your day, solve problems, communicate clearly with clients and site teams, and deliver work that meets COMM ONE’s standards.

What you’ll be doing

Installing, programming and commissioning CCTV, access control, alarm and intercom systems.

Completing structured cabling and network infrastructure work associated with security systems.

Fault finding, servicing and maintaining existing systems and equipment.

Testing devices, system functions, recording and communications before handover.

Reading plans, scopes and system layouts, then identifying practical installation requirements.





Working independently or coordinating small teams and subcontractors on site.

Communicating professionally with clients, builders, facility managers and other trades.

Completing accurate service records, site documentation and close-out information.

Maintaining safe work practices, site presentation and a high standard of workmanship.

What we’re looking for

To be considered, you will need:

Proven hands-on experience installing and servicing electronic security systems in commercial environments.

Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to diagnose issues without constant supervision.

Experience with CCTV and access control platforms such as Avigilon, Dahua, Inner Range, Protege or similar.

A sound understanding of IP networks, structured cabling and connected security devices.

A current Queensland Security Provider Licence with the functions required for the work.

A current Construction White Card and Australian driver’s licence.

The right to work in Australia.

Clear communication, reliability, good organisation and pride in your workmanship.

Highly regarded

Certificate III in Telecommunications, Technical Security or a related qualification.

Current cabling registration and relevant endorsements.

Manufacturer training or accreditation across CCTV, access control, alarm or intercom platforms.

Experience leading small crews, mentoring junior technicians or coordinating site works.
