We've grown to over 50 full-time staff in eight years, and we hold an exclusive national partnership delivering grounds and landscaping works across primary schools. We're now bringing that operation to Current South Wales, and we already have a strong pipeline of work here.
We're looking for one person to lead it on the ground. This is the role where you stop being another set of hands and start running something.
The role
You'll be responsible for how our NSW work gets done — leading crews across primary school sites, quoting new jobs with school staff, and helping build the team as we grow.
- Lead soft landscaping works: sandpit top-ups, softfall tanbark and mulch, turf, garden beds and planting
- Lead hardscaping works: paving, concreting, retaining walls, pathways and timber structures
- Supervise crews on site and hold the quality standard
- Quote new works with school staff and help grow the client base
- Help recruit and build the NSW team
This isn't a subcontractor arrangement. You're part of the business — reporting to our Operations Manager, with a full-time office team handling scheduling, admin and paperwork so you can focus on the work. Monday to Friday, immediate start available.
What you'll need
- Hands-on experience across soft and hard landscaping
- A track record leading crews and taking ownership of a job
- A self-starter who works well without someone looking over your shoulder
- Good communication skills and a professional presence — this matters on school sites
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Comfortable with the physical demands of outdoor site work
Nice to have, not essential
- Experience quoting work
- Familiarity with playground softfall surfacing standards
- Cert III in Landscape Construction or equivalent
- Machinery tickets
We'll sort your clearances. Working on NSW school sites requires a paid Working With Children Check and a national criminal history check. We cover the cost of both and manage the process for you — you don't need either before you apply.
What's on offer
- $100,000 – $110,000 + superannuation
- Fully maintained company vehicle, yours to take home
- All equipment and materials supplied
- Uniform, ongoing coaching and training
- Steady, contracted school work — no chasing invoices, no dead weeks
- Genuine growth: build and lead a state operation
