Linacre Private Hospital now hiring! Our 60 bed hospital provides a comprehensive range of surgical and medical services to the Bayside community and beyond. We have three operating theatres, procedure room, day surgery unit and a high dependency unit.

Job Description

Exciting new opportunity for a clinical coder to join our Clinical Coding team at Linacre Private Hospital.

About the Role

Reporting to the Health Information Manager and working within a supportive team environment, this position will play a pivotal role in undertaking accurate, comprehensive, and timely clinical coding for the Hospital.

We are committed to developing your coding skills and professional development is supported and encouraged! Clinical Coding graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.

This is primarily an onsite-based role with limited opportunities for remote work.

Your Key Skills and Experience

- Possess a recognised clinical coding qualification – HIMAA, tertiary HIM qualification, or equivalent
- Recent experience in clinical coding or new graduates welcome to apply
- Have knowledge of Australian Revised Diagnostic Related Groups (AR-DRG) and private health funding models
- Seek to continuously develop knowledge and improve Clinical Coding practice

- Demonstrate ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
