AI Services Consultant

Location: Sydney

About the Role

We're looking for an AI Services Consultant to join a regional AI team, working alongside an AI Solutions Executive and an AI Solutions Architect.

This is a pre-sales consulting role. You'll speak with clients to understand their AI ambitions, identify where consulting services can help them get there (things like data readiness, use-case workshops, and adoption programs), and scope out engagements that move them from idea to production.

What You'll Do

- Meet with clients to understand their AI goals and scope the right services to support them
- Sell consulting engagements across areas like AI strategy, data readiness, security and governance, and AI adoption
- Position developer productivity and coding assistant services (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot) including pilots and ROI tracking
- Build business cases and cost models that justify AI and infrastructure investment
- Design proof-of-concept and pilot programs that help clients validate AI use cases before committing
- Work closely with a Solutions Executive and Solutions Architect as one team, sharing pipeline and account planning
- Structure larger AI programs into multi-phase roadmaps with clear milestones and outcomes




- Stay closely involved as projects move from sales into early delivery, making sure what was promised gets delivered
- Build trusted relationships with IT and business leaders, and support the wider sales team as an AI expert

What We're Looking For

- 10+ years in technology consulting, services sales, or practice management
- A robust track record of personally closing large services deals ($1M+, long sales cycles, multiple stakeholders)
- Comfortable speaking with C-suite and senior leaders about AI strategy and investment, not just the technical detail
- Experience selling or scoping AI, data, analytics, or cloud consulting work
- Understanding of AI coding assistants and workforce AI tools well enough to scope pilots and adoption programs
- General knowledge of data governance, cloud platforms, and security as they relate to AI
- Comfortable writing proposals and presenting during competitive sales processes
- Bachelor's degree required

Nice to Have

- Background at a major consulting firm (e.g. Accenture, Deloitte, McKinsey, IBM Consulting)
- Experience using lab or proof-of-concept environments to help clients validate decisions
- Delivery or project management experience, in addition to sales
- Master's degree in a related field
