A Position has opened up for a Full - Time Dental Assistant within our family dental practice in Rockhampton. The Full Time position would be 38 hours per week over a 4 day week. A Trainee position is also available, working towards completing your Certificate III in Dental Assisting.

The practice operates daily from 7.30am - 5.30pm and 8.00am - 6.30pm on a Tuesday and the applicant must be available during these hours.

The applicant should have a caring, friendly and compassionate nature, be well presented and have a strong work ethic. Own transportation is essential.

Previous experience would be preferred, with the applicant holding or be studying towards completion of Certificate III in Dental Assisting. Commitment to training and taking direction is required.

We are looking for a motivated, passionate individual, with a flexible approach and a positive attitude to fit in with the practice team.

Your Skills and Attributes

Above all, you are friendly, enthusiastic, dedicated, and are able to build rapport easily with patients and colleagues. In addition to this, you will have:

- Experience as a Dental Assistant ideally in all areas; chair-side, sterilization, and reception.

- Strong compliance with sterilization, safety and infection control measures.

- Delivery of safe empathetic patient care at all times and be able to work well within a team.

- A proven track record of punctuality,



attendance and reliability in previous employment roles.

Responsibilities:

- Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures, ensuring a seamless and comfortable patient experience.

- Assist with sterilization and maintenance of instruments and treatment rooms.

- Work collaboratively with the dental team to deliver high-quality patient care.

- Administrative Tasks and Surgery room cleaning.

Requirements:

- Well presented with a qualified polished appearance

- Reliable and punctual

- Previous dental assisting experience is preferred

- Familiarity with Exact Dental software is a plus

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control

- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the practice

- Full-time or part-time availability
