- Coordinate strategic outreach, engagement and access activities that help broaden participation in higher education.

- Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis for 24 months.
- Base salary range: $120,912 – $132,161 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

Within Student Life and Community, this role supports a range of university-wide initiatives including the Equity Plan, Regional Plan, and Priority Cohort Access and Growth Plan. Together, these strategies strengthen educational access, participation and success for students from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, regional, remote and low socio-economic backgrounds.

By working collaboratively across the University and with external partners, the team helps create inclusive pathways into higher education while building strong community connections throughout Western Australia.

About the opportunity

- Lead the design and implementation of community engagement, outreach and access strategies, including targeted plans for priority regional communities and underrepresented student cohorts.
- Provide strategic coordination, stakeholder engagement and governance support to ensure outreach initiatives are aligned, impactful, culturally appropriate and responsive to community needs.
- Develop data, evaluation and reporting frameworks that generate actionable insights, support continuous improvement and demonstrate program outcomes and impact.

About you





- Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent experience in community engagement, education, outreach, stakeholder partnerships, project delivery or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic plans, programs or initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes.
- Strong analytical and evaluation capability, including experience using data and evidence to inform planning, reporting and continuous improvement.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams, governance groups and external partners.
- Proven ability to engage respectfully and effectively with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, student groups and regional stakeholders.

Note: Employment checks will include information on gender-based violence, sexual harassment, and related misconduct to meet legal obligations. A current National Police Clearance, WA Working with Children Check, and “C” class driver’s licence will be required by the successful applicant.
