A well-established building consultancy in Northern NSW is seeking an experienced Unrestricted Building Certifier to join its team across either Byron Bay or Lismore.

You’ll manage a varied portfolio with a strong commercial focus, alongside selected residential projects, and work closely with developers, builders, architects, consultants and local authorities.

Duties
- Assess commercial building applications and construction documentation.
- Issue complying development certificates, construction certificates and occupation certificates.
- Conduct critical-stage and other required inspections.
- Provide practical advice on the NCC and relevant NSW legislation.
- Identify compliance issues and work with clients to achieve practical solutions.
- Manage projects,
documentation and statutory timeframes.
- Build strong relationships with clients and industry professionals.
- Contribute to the continued growth and reputation of the business.
About You
- Current NSW registration as a Building Surveyor – Unrestricted.
- Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code and NSW planning and building legislation.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial building certification.
- Sound technical judgement and excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
- Practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
