Our client is a successful, highly respected, local residential construction company based in Newcastle. They are looking for a Construction Manager to join their team, where the successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of all upcoming projects.
About the Role
As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of residential construction projects, working closely with the construction team, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Managing construction projects from conception through to completion
- Overseeing all builds to ensure compliance with building and safety regulations
- Coordinating labour, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Managing project schedules and project financials
- Facilitating the preparation of building specifications and coordinating projects deliverables
- Ensuring contractual performance requirements are met
- Monitoring project progress and resolving issues as they arise
- Evaluating, managing and minimising project risk
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management and holding a current NSW Builders/Supervisors Licence
- Experience in residential construction as a Construction Manager, Site Supervisor, or Foreperson
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and competing priorities
- Strong understanding of residential construction processes, building regulations, and safety requirements
- Proven people management skills with exceptional communication skills
- Solid problem-solving skills with a practical and solutions-focused approach
- Advanced computer literacy and familiarity with construction management software packages
