West Coast Trade Services is seeking an experienced Roof Tiler to join our growing team on a Full-Time basis. This is a key position within our building trades division, based in Perth, WA 6000. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality roofing solutions to our clients across residential and commercial projects. You will be responsible for executing roofing work to the highest standards, ensuring client satisfaction and project timelines are consistently met. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects whilst contributing to the reputation and success of West Coast Trade Services.
What you'll be doing
1. Installing, repairing and replacing roof tiles on residential and commercial properties
1. Pointing and repointing roof tiles to ensure weatherproofing and structural integrity
2. Conducting thorough inspections of roofing systems and identifying areas requiring maintenance or repair
3. Adhering to all relevant safety regulations, building codes and industry standards
4. Liaising with project managers and clients to ensure work is completed to specification
5. Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order
6. Working safely at heights and following all workplace health and safety protocols
What we're looking for
1. Proven experience as a roof tiler, roof painter or roof pointer in the building trades industry
2. Current knowledge of roofing materials, techniques and industry best practices
3. Proficiency in using specialised roofing tools and equipment
4. Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
5. Strong understanding of health and safety requirements when working at heights
6. Current First Aid certification and working at heights qualification (or willingness to obtain)
7.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship
8. Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work
9. Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions
10. Relevant trade qualifications or apprenticeship certifications preferred
11. Experience with roof restoration and heritage roofing work is advantageous
