Senior Data Analytics Engineer

Cadence Connect are proud once again, to be partnering with our Tier1 Logistics client. This role will enable you to build the data capability behind a complex, fast-moving and evolving habitat.

This is an on the tools, senior position for a data professional who loves operating across data engineering, analytics platforms and Power BI, with the technical depth to build robust solutions and the commercial mindset to understand how data can improve business performance.

Working closely with the BI & Automation Lead and broader technology teams, you will play a key role in developing and evolving enterprise data platforms, pipelines and analytical solutions across the organisation.

Daily life...

Take ownership across a broad range of data engineering and analytics initiatives, including:

- Designing, building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and transformation processes.
- Developing data solutions across Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/Warehouse) and Snowflake.
- Leading data ingestion, transformation and modelling patterns across multiple data sources.
- Building and maintaining API integrations using REST, JSON and secure authentication methods.
- Designing and optimising Power BI datasets, semantic models, dashboards and reports.
- Developing complex SQL queries and optimising data models for performance and reliability.
- Building DAX measures and ensuring trusted, consistent reporting and KPIs.
- Supporting automation initiatives that leverage data platforms, Power BI and enterprise workflows.
- Acting as a technical escalation point for complex data, integration and analytics issues.
- Working with stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical, high-quality data solutions.
- Supporting vendor solutions through technical review, integration and knowledge transfer.
- Contributing to source control, versioning,



CI/CD and modern engineering practices.
- Helping establish standards, patterns and continuous improvement across the data and BI environment.

What you will bring...

We are looking for an individual who has genuine capability to combine strong technical muscle with the ability to work collaboratively in a small, agile team.

Ideally...

- Strong hands-on experience across data engineering and analytics platform development.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake – essential.
- Advanced SQL capability, including complex transformations, large datasets and performance tuning.
- Strong Power BI experience across data modelling, DAX and performance optimisation.
- Experience with APIs, REST services, JSON and data integration.
- An understanding of contemporary data architecture, pipelines and enterprise analytics platforms.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git or similar source control and CI/CD practices is highly regarded.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to take technical ownership.
- Tertiary qualifications in IT, Data Engineering, Analytics or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
