About the Role
We're looking for an experienced infrastructure and project management professional to join our team as our current Facilities & Infrastructure Manager, based at Gold Netball Centre in Jolimont. You’ll bring planning, funding, advocacy and stakeholder management skills to turn facility priorities into real outcomes for netball in WA.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify emerging facility needs, participation trends and infrastructure gaps to inform future planning
- Maintain and regularly review facility priorities, project pipelines and infrastructure investment opportunities
- Build and maintain solid relationships with local governments, Member Associations, State Government agencies and key industry stakeholders
- Facilitate collaboration between project partners to ensure alignment of objectives, funding requirements and delivery outcomes
- Collaborate with other State Sporting Associations on shared-use facility opportunities and multi-sport infrastructure projects
- Ensure all projects align with local government asset management plans, masterplans, capital works programs and community infrastructure strategies
- Support the successful delivery of infrastructure commitments secured through government election funding programs
- Prepare briefing papers, submissions, grant applications, letters of support, business cases and funding proposals
- Identify funding opportunities that support facility development objectives
- Provide guidance and support to Member Associations regarding lease renewals, venue agreements and facility access arrangements
- Provide advice on governance, planning and compliance matters relating to infrastructure projects and facility agreements
- Track project performance, outcomes, expenditure and return on investment
- Maintain current infrastructure cost estimates, project data and planning documentation
- Work collaboratively with VenuesWest, consultants, government agencies and the NWA Executive to progress expansion priorities for the Gold Netball Centre
- Represent NWA on the Netball Australia National Facilities Working Group and contribute to national facility planning discussions, projects and strategic initiatives
- Ensure NWA meets all legislative requirements
What You’ll Bring
- Qualification in Project Management, Urban and Regional Planning, Sport Management, Community Development, Business or relevant discipline or relevant experience (Essential)
- Demonstrated experience in Infrastructure Planning, Project Management, Community Development, Sport Administration or related field (Essential)
- Strong understanding of local government planning processes, capital works programs and community infrastructure development (Essential)
- Understanding facility management, venue development and lease negotiations (Essential)
- Knowledge of government funding and election commitments processes (Essential)
- Experience in preparing business cases, grant applications, funding submissions and advocacy materials (Essential)
- Experience in the sport/not-for-profit industry would be highly regarded
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships across government, community and sporting sectors
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and competing priorities
- Demonstrated alignment with NWA values and a commitment to service excellence
