Hawksworth is partnering with a leading financial institution to onboard a Line 2 Risk Manager with superannuation experience for a 6month contract.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide review and uplift of the Risk & Compliance Frameworks. This role will provide Line 2 Risk input to stream 1 deliverables across the Design, Implement & Embed phases. The incumbent will play an important role in the team acting to provide expert input of Framework uplift activities and working closely with the business to provide training and grow capability.

Critical to this is the ability to understand the business and ensuring robust engagement with key internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

- University level qualifications in business management or equivalent.
- At least 5 – 10 year’s working in a risk, compliance or legal role with experience related to superannuation. Work experience should show some depth in the practical application of risk management.
- Design & implement risk & compliance frameworks; create & deliver training
- Understand the law with regards to APRA requirements




- Experience working in or providing services to a regulated financial services business, with an ability to interpret and apply associated legislative requirements.
- Sound understanding and ability to operate within Risk and Compliance frameworks, including the ability to consider risk strategically and take a commercial approach to compliance when required.
- Ability to provide value add advice to the Business in respect of risks, controls, process and administrative matters.
- Ability to analyse data and collate and prepare reports in relation to risk profiles, compliance plans, statutory requirements, regulatory fund lodgements, incidents, audit risk data.
- Risk management principles and practice.
- Foundational understanding of compliance environment relating to the line of business.
