Student Wellbeing Officer - Williams and Wickepin

- Cert IV in Youth Work or relevant tertiary qualification, DoE Clearance and WWCC

Join Anglicare WA’s Student Wellbeing Service where you will engage with students through a wide range of school‑based activities, provide support for students to connect with professional staff within the school, outreach to disengaged students and their families, support young people to access and connect with community based services, and facilitate school wellbeing workshops or programs.

This is a max‑term, part‑time opportunity (2 days per week at each school, 4 days in total) until January 2027, based at Williams Primary School & Wickepin Primary School.

What you will bring

- Cert IV in Youth Work, or other relevant Cert IV or tertiary qualification that permits registration as a counsellor, teacher, social worker, psychologist, nurse or midwife.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced agile school environment
- Contemporary knowledge of the issues impacting children and young people
- Ability to accept, respect and work with children and young people from a broad range of backgrounds and abilities, including different cultures, Aboriginal & CaLD young people, those who may identify as LGBTQIA+, and all belief systems
- Understanding of the education system
- Ability to facilitate small groups





The successful candidate must also possess a current National Police Clearance and Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check from the Department of Education no older than 12 months, working with Children’s and a WA Driver’s Licence.

Remuneration and advantages

- Employed under Anglicare WA’s Employee Collective Agreement
- Contract length – to 29 January 2027
- Work only during school terms
- From $46.71 + 12% super + annual leave and personal leave (accrued based on hours worked)
- Pay for hours worked (+ accrued annual leave) is spread across the entire term of employment contract, ensuring a pay every fortnight
- Additional remuneration for induction training and required professional development
- Salary Packaging Benefits (package up to $15,900 per annum)
