About the role:

Our client is seeking a motivated and reliable Apprentice Painter to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to complete a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating while gaining hands‑on experience working alongside skilled tradespeople on a variety of commercial painting projects across the Geelong and Western suburbs of Melbourne areas.

With ongoing mentoring from experienced industry professionals, this is an excellent opportunity to build a long‑term career in a high‑demand trade. Your responsibilities will develop as your skills grow, with a strong focus on quality workmanship and workplace safety.

- Surface preparation including sanding, scraping and filling surfaces.
- Assisting qualified painters with painting and decorating tasks.
- Setting up and maintaining work sites.
- Following safe work practices and company procedures.
- Caring for tools, equipment and materials.
- Learning industry techniques and best practices.
- Contributing positively to the team and workplace culture.

We're looking for someone who is:

- Positive, motivated and willing to take direction.




- Committed to completing a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating.
- Genuine interest in the painting and decorating industry.
- Ability to work safely and follow instructions.
- Physical fitness and willingness to undertake hands‑on work.
- Happy to travel between Geelong and Melbourne.
- Willing to obtain a Working with Children's check.

This is a full‑time apprenticeship, working 36 hours per week (including trade school), with overtime available when required.
