Are you a skilled technical communicator with a passion for aerospace technology? We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Writer & Illustrator for a 12-month contract based in Alderley. In this highly engaging role, you will play a pivotal part in developing critical operational, maintenance, and training publications for cutting-edge Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS).

About the Role

This position combines technical authorship with end-to-end ownership of technical illustrations. Working closely with multidisciplinary product and systems engineering teams, you will ensure that all documentation and graphics meet exact industry standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:





- Developing comprehensive paper-based and electronic publications for UAS systems, covering everything from flight manuals to testing and troubleshooting procedures.

- Producing explicit, accurate technical illustrations, including line drawings, schematics, exploded views, and workflows.

- Structuring, developing, and maintaining publication data sets and Integrated Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs).

- Ensuring all technical data and illustrations strictly comply with applicable standards, including S1000D specifications.

- Updating publications based on source data changes, equipment modifications, and peer reviews.
