Position Overview

We are seeking a practical and motivated Compliance Lead to oversee, guide, and drive our road transport compliance and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) systems. Reporting directly to our Safety and HR Manager, this role covers all operations of the Pickering Transport Group.

As most of our sites do not have dedicated compliance officers, this role serves as the central subject matter expert. You will work directly with site managers, supervisors, and operational teams across our depot network, coaching and supporting them to embed practical safety and compliance routines into their daily operations.

Preference will be given to candidates based at or willing to relocate to our Buronga facility.

Key Responsibilities

- Site Leadership & Coaching: Guide, coach,



and empower site management and their teams to practically understand and execute compliance responsibilities.

- CoR & Risk Assurance: Perform CoR risk assessments , evaluate operational risk handling , and tailor reporting for executive review.

- Upcoming Regulatory Delivery: Lead the business transition for the 1 August 2026 NHVR legislative changes.

- Broad AMCAS Accreditation Management: Manage and integrate our full AMCAS accreditation program across all streams.

- Workforce Compliance Framework: Establish an end-to-end workforce compliance framework , resolve identified audit gaps, and deliver monthly progress reporting.

- Regulatory Governance: Drive adherence to National Heavy Vehicle Law, Dangerous Goods law, and state road laws

Key Qualifications & Attributes

- Qualifications in compliance and/or risk management (highly desirable)

- Background in heavy vehicle road transport compliance and legal frameworks (highly desirable).

- Proven experience in change management, process improvement, and staff training.

- Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills to effectively mentor site leaders and operational staff.

- Alignment with PTG’s values of drive, flexibility, and resilience.
