Participant Support Practitioner - NDIS Early Childhood Approach

Join Meli's Early Childhood Approach team and play avital role in supporting families of children with disability to navigate theNDIS and access the supports they need to thrive.

As a Participant Support Practitioner, you will partnerclosely with families to build their confidence and capability, help themunderstand and utilise their child's NDIS plan, and connect themwithappropriate services and community supports. Using a family-centred,strengths-based approach, you will empower families to achieve meaningfuloutcomes for their child while promoting participation, inclusion and wellbeingin everyday life.

As a Participant Support Practitioner, you will:

- Support families to understand theirchild's disability needs and navigate the NDIS pathway, including access,planning, implementation, reviews and funding requests.
- Provide clear information, guidance andpractical support to help families make informed decisions and effectivelyutilise their child's NDIS plan.
- Connect families with appropriate alliedhealth, mainstream, community and disability supports that enhanceparticipation and inclusion in everyday life.
- Build trusting relationships withfamilies and key stakeholders to strengthen caregiver confidence, addressbarriers to accessing supports and achieve positive outcomes for childrenand their families.
- Full-time, fixed term position until 30 July2027
- 1 FTE working 38 hours per week
- $105,834 p/a + Super & Salary Packaging

What We’re Looking For

Wevalue individuals who bring dedication, empathy,



and expertise to their roles.To succeed in this position, you will have:

- Minimum Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education, AlliedHealth/Disability discipline or equivalent and experienceworking with children under 9 and their families.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of thedevelopmental, social and support needs of children with disability and theirfamilies, and the ability to respond with informed, family‑centred andculturally responsive practices.
- Demonstrated high-level communication,interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectivelywith children and families in diverse settings, complemented by strong time‑managementand organisational abilities that support independent, self‑directed work.
- Current Victoria Driver’s Licence
