We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanic / On-Road Service Technician to join our Yatala branch.

If you enjoy working with a variety of machinery, diagnosing faults, and getting equipment back into action quickly and safely, this is a outstanding opportunity to be part of a growing local team.

You'll be responsible for keeping our fleet running safely and efficiently, both in the workshop and out in the field:

- Service, maintain and repair a modern fleet of hire equipment in the Yatala workshop and onsite
- Attend breakdowns and provide fast, professional field support
- Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics and preventative maintenance
- Perform inspections and ensure all equipment meets safety and compliance standards
- Work directly with customers and represent Generators Australia professionally onsite
- Follow all safety procedures with a strong ZERO harm mindset
- Contribute ideas to improve processes through our Employee Initiative Program




- This role works Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm and is based out of our Yatala Branch.

What we're looking for

We're after a reliable tradesperson with strong mechanical skills and a practical, can-do attitude:

- Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate
- Experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic, Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Mechanical Fitter
- Solid knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems
- Experience servicing Generators or similar plant (highly regarded)
- Current Driver's Licence
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
- Strong work ethic and pride in your workmanship
- Good communication skills and a customer-first approach onsite
