But the conversation that starts it all, where a business owner decides we’re worth 30 minutes of their time, still needs a person on the phone.

AI4Tradies is a Brisbane business, powered by CopilotHQ, one of Australia’s top 10 AI consulting firms. We’re young, growing fast, and we’re hiring one outbound appointment setter to sit at the front of our sales engine.

What you’ll actually do

Cold call owners and managers of Australian trade and construction businesses — typically 10 to 50 staff, across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, civil and construction

Have a real conversation about where their week is piling up: scheduling, quoting & estimating, invoices unpaid, admin eating the evenings

Book qualified discovery calls into our Account Managers’ calendars

Keep the CRM clean (we run Pipedrive) so nothing falls through

Tell us what you’re hearing out there — what lands and what doesn’t — so we sharpen the pitch together

You won’t be reading a script at people. You’ll be finding the businesses with a genuine problem and getting them booked in for a discovery call with our Account Managers.

Where this goes

We promote from the phones. The path is defined:

1. Appointment Setter — master the call, hit consistent booked-meeting numbers. Own the script, coach new starters,



help run the outbound engine

2. Account Manager — run your own discovery sessions, own your accounts, close your own deals

Progression is based on performance, not time served. We’ll tell you exactly what each step requires at interview, so you can hold us to it.

What you’ll need

Proven results in a cold calling role — you can tell us your numbers and, more importantly, what you did to hit them

Excellent communication. Explicit, warm and direct. You can hold a conversation with a business owner standing in a ute yard with two minutes to spare

Real resilience. You’ll hear far more no than yes, and you’ll pick the phone straight back up

Comfortable being measured, coached and held to a number

Being straight with you

This is a hunting role. Most of your day is on the phone and most of those calls end in a no. If you’re after warm inbound leads handed to you on a plate, this isn’t the one.

But if you back yourself to build a pipeline from a dial tone, want to sell something that genuinely helps the business on the other end, enter on the ground floor of one the biggest opportunities of our lifetime, and want a clear route off the phones and into account management, we’d like to hear from you.
