ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join an established building and construction business based in Brisbane.

This is a permanent opportunity working across a diverse range of building projects, supporting both sales and project requirements from initial budgets and quotations through to detailed tenders and costing.

The role would suit an Estimator with a strong building or construction background who is comfortable working across multiple projects and liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and internal project and manufacturing teams.

Primarily, you will be responsible for:

- Preparing budgets, quotations, tenders, BOQs and Bills of Materials.

- Reviewing technical specifications, tender documentation and building drawings.

- Preparing accurate estimates incorporating subcontractor scope and pricing.

- Developing scopes of work, clarifications and qualifications for tenders.

- Providing clear breakdowns between factory and site-based scopes.

- Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, consulting engineers, building certifiers and internal stakeholders.

- Working across multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring estimates are delivered accurately and on time.





- Supporting ongoing improvements to estimating systems, processes and workflows.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- 3+ years' estimating experience within the building or construction industry.

- Experience preparing BOQs, cost plans, quotations and tenders.

- Experience with CostX or similar estimating software .

- Ability to interpret building drawings, technical specifications and tender documentation.

- Good understanding of building regulations and construction requirements.

- Civil and/or site-based project experience will be highly regarded.

- Experience working across both client and contractor environments would be advantageous.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and work with limited supervision.

- Exposure to modular, prefabricated or manufacturing-based construction would be advantageous, but is not essential .

- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
