James Transport (Aust) Pty Ltd is a family-owned and operated business, providing transport and warehousing solutions to Mildura, Victoria and surrounds for over 30 years. Their experienced team pride themselves in providing effective and reliable service to cater for all their client's transport, warehousing and distribution needs. Transport services offered are refrigerated, dry, flat top, tanker, bulk citrus and tipper.
The Role
We are currently seeking the positions of a long distance multi combination truck drivers. Long distance destinations are ex Mildura Victoria to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Griffith and Brisbane (Return). Trips will include deliveries and pickups such as on-farm fruit bins, supermarket / market / distribution centers refrigerated and dry pallets pallets, liquid tanker transfers and general tautliner work.
Preferable that the applicant is Mildura / Sunraysia based
Key Responsibilities
- Loading/unloading of freight vehicles
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of road safety and compliance requirements
- Completion of required compliance documents
- Show pride in presentation and customer relations
- Keep your vehicle clean and presentable
Qualifications and Experience
- Current Multi Combination or Heavy Articulated license
- Experience with tautliners, fridge vans, tankers and flat tops
- Basic familiarity with operating tautliners, fridge vans, tankers and flat tops is required
- Basic fatigue training (preferred, but not essential)
- All applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment medical, license history printout and drug and alcohol testing
- Sunraysia Victoria based is preferred but not essential
- Must be available for 1 day per fortnight weekend scheduling
- Minimum 1-2 years of truck driving experience is required
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required
- Full time position is subject to a 8 month trial period
