We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Landscaper / Garden Maintenance professional to join the Spades of Green team in Sydney, NSW. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse landscaping projects across residential and commercial properties throughout the Sydney area. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces whilst ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction. You will work on-site at various locations throughout Sydney, contributing to the visual appeal and functionality of gardens and landscapes in one of Australia's most vibrant cities.

What you'll be doing

Performing garden maintenance tasks including pruning, weeding, mulching, and lawn care to maintain the aesthetic and health of landscaped areas

Installing and maintaining garden features such as pathways, edging, raised beds, and hardscaping elements

Preparing soil, planting trees, shrubs, and flowers in accordance with design specifications and horticultural best practices

Operating and maintaining landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, and hand tools safely and responsibly

Clearing and removing garden debris, vegetation, and waste materials, ensuring sites are left clean and tidy

Liaising with clients to understand their requirements and provide advice on garden maintenance and landscaping options

Following health and safety protocols and ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations

Contributing to project planning and execution, meeting deadlines and budget requirements

Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used on each project

What we’re looking for

Proven experience in garden maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture, ideally within a professional landscaping company

Knowledge of plants, trees, shrubs, and seasonal gardening practices appropriate to the Sydney climate





Proficiency in operating landscaping equipment and hand tools safely and effectively

Strong physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Current driver's licence and ability to travel between job sites

Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture and landscaping are highly desirable
