The Role

MJI Group is seeking a Cabler to join the MJI Group team on a permanent full time basis

Tasks:

- Install, terminate and maintain telecommunications, fibre optic and structured cabling systems in accordance with project specifications and Australian Standards.
- Install Radio Base Station (RBS) equipment, including Hybriflex cables, coaxial feeder cables and tails, earthing systems, cable trays, diplexers and combiners.
- Install, terminate and commission DC power systems, including rectifiers, batteries and associated equipment.
- Install, terminate and commission microwave indoor and outdoor units.
- Perform testing and commissioning of telecommunications equipment and sites, including PIM, VSWR, sweep testing and call testing.
- Diagnose faults, investigate site issues, replace defective equipment and carry out repairs to restore network performance.
- Install, splice,



terminate and test fibre optic cabling and associated infrastructure.
- Install and terminate internal structured cabling for computer networks, telecommunications systems, security systems and fire alarm systems.
- Install and maintain NBN and other telecommunications network cabling.
- Complete site documentation, commissioning records and handover paperwork following installation and testing.
- Ensure all work complies with telecommunications cabling rules, workplace health and safety requirements and Australian Standards.
- Lead installation teams or work independently to deliver projects within required timeframes and quality standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

To be eligible for the role, you must have the following:

- AQF Certificate III including at least 2 years on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill level 3)
- Relevant qualifications required however; 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
- 3 years of relevant experience in the role.
