Job Description

FIRDAOUSI VENTURES PTY LTD We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the kitchen while ensuring an excellent dining experience for customers.

Tasks & Responsibilities

- Inspect ingredients and food supplies to ensure freshness, quality, and suitability before use.
- Prepare, season, and cook a variety of meals in accordance with recipes and established quality standards.
- Operate and regulate ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment to achieve consistent cooking results.
- Monitor cooking processes and adjust seasoning, flavours, and cooking times to produce high-quality dishes.
- Portion meals accurately and present them attractively with appropriate sauces, gravies, and garnishes.




- Store food safely in temperature-controlled facilities while following food safety and stock rotation procedures.
- Prepare meals that cater to special dietary needs and customer requirements where required.
- Assist with menu planning and estimate ingredient quantities to minimise waste and maintain stock levels.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen in compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Support the training and guidance of junior kitchen staff and apprentices to ensure consistent food preparation standards.

Qualification & Experience

Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or a related field must be completed. 1–3 years of relevant experience as a Cook.

Required Knowledge and Skills

- Robust knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
