HTP Automotive is looking for a skilled and reliable Fully Qualified Mechanic to join our growing team in Bayswater.

You’ll work across a range of vehicles, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and delivering high-quality workmanship that keeps our customers safe on the road.

This is a full-time, stable role with a supportive team, consistent workflow, and opportunities to grow your skills.

Key responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical and electrical issues (engine, transmission, suspension, etc.)
- Carry out scheduled servicing including oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations
- Perform vehicle inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Accurately record work completed and parts used
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to safety standards
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, timelines, and costs
- Provide guidance and support to apprentice mechanics, helping develop their skills

What we’re looking for

- Trade-qualified Automotive Mechanic (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology)
- Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience




- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience using modern diagnostic tools and equipment
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Current driver’s licence and own tools
- Full working rights in Australia (Australian citizen or permanent resident). We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
