In a peaceful retirement village in Hammondville, a lovely elderly lady is hoping to welcome a kind female volunteer into her world.

Living independently in her own home, she is vision‑impaired and sometimes the days feel a little quieter than she’d like.

She loves a good chat, the comfort of a cuppa and cake, and talking about her garden, which brings her so much joy. On her best days, she enjoys a short drive to a local café, soaking up fresh air, sunshine, and friendly conversation.

Your visit doesn’t need to be long—just 30 minutes to an hour—but it could mean everything. A warm hello, shared laughter, and a friendly presence can truly brighten her weekend.

- Best times: Saturday or Sunday, between 10:00am and 2:00pm

- Frequency: Weekly or fortnightly (versatile)

- Location: Hammondville
