To be sure...to be sure - Do you have an Irish background and just love talking about world travel?

We are looking for a kind and compassionate volunteer to spend time with an elderly couple still living and being cared for in their own home. They find comfort in talking about the world of travel and where they have been and sharing social chats about their cultural heritage.

Your visits might include reading aloud, looking through travel books or simply listening to music in a relaxed and unhurried way. What matters most is your presence — offering friendship, reassurance, and the joy of connection.

Why volunteer?

You’ll brighten someone’s week through friendship and familiarity, while experiencing the meaningful reward that comes from making a genuine difference in someone’s life.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring excellent joy to the client you are matched with.
