Farsi Speaking Volunteer (cuppa & a chat), Residential Care Wahroonga.

The HammondCare Volunteer program is a excellent way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in Wahroonga.

We are seeking a Farsi speaking volunteer to spend time with an elderly person in care. Ideally you will be able to speak Farsi fluently, be able to visit for a cuppa and a chat or weather permitting take a walk around the grounds together and stop at the onsite café.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

Requirements

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare plus NDIS Worker Screening Check •

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
