Meet a friendly and easy‑going elderly gentleman living independently in his own home in Chittaway Bay.

He genuinely enjoys company and conversation and fondly remembers his time at Men’s Shed, where he especially loved woodturning, working with timber, and sharing stories and laughs with others. While he’s no longer attending, his love for craftsmanship—and for valuable chats—remains strong.

What it’s about:

A simple visit to an elderly client living at home for a cuppa, a chat, and some companionship.

No rush, no pressure—just a friendly conversation and a little company.

Visits include:

- Sharing a cuppa together

- A friendly chat and a listening ear

- Talking about past projects and favourite tools​

- Reminiscing about Men’s Shed days​

- When: Weekly or fortnightly visits

- Between 9am – 5pm

- About 1 hour

Requirements

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •

One hour visits for 6 months or longer. We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time Between Monday to Sunday 9am to 5pm for an hour or so visit.
