We’re looking for a Social Volunteer to enjoy relaxed afternoon visits with a lovely client who loves board games and conversation. Whether it’s a classic game, a bit of friendly banter or simply keeping someone company, your time will mean more than you know.

Your impact





Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring excellent joy to the client you are matched with.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, supporting people to live in their homes and maintain their independence. We're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of clients who are living at home.





HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •





One hour visits for 6 months or longer. We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time on a weekday between 9am and before 5pm.
