We are looking for a friendly social volunteer who can speak Italian and would love to brighten the day of an older woman in our community. She used to be a seamstress and enjoys gentle walks and spending time in the garden. Your role would involve one hour visits each week to provide companionship, conversation and connection in her preferred language. If you enjoy meaningful chats, light strolls, and making someone feel valued, this is a beautiful chance to give back.

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

Requirements

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for an hour visit between 9am and 5pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
