Job Description

OLEA Cafe Bar Bistro is a vibrant European-Australian venue located in Lindfield, offering

elevated local dining inspired by Italian and Spanish flavours. With a strong focus on

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time

/n

basis.

/n

Key Responsibilities:

/n

/n

- Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays

/n

- Determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery

/n

- Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, including food and ingredients

/n

- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager to plan and develop recipes and

/n

- menus, considering seasonal availability and customer demand

/n

- Supervise and instruct cooks and kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and

/n

- presentation of dishes

/n

- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure compliance with operational

/n

- standards

/n

- Manage stock ordering, stock rotation, and wastage control, and assist with purchasing and

/n

- pricing of goods within budget

/n

- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistent food quality and operational

/n

- Assist in managing food costs and labour costs

/n

- Perform rostering and shift management duties

/n

- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety (OH&S;),



HACCP guidelines, and

/n

- food safety standards

/n

- Monitor sanitation practices and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment

/n/n

To be considered for this role, you must have:

/n

/n

- At least 1 year of experience in a similar Chef role

/n

- Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

/n

- Strong communication and team management skills

/n

- Experience managing food safety procedures and documentation

/n

- Rostering and stock ordering experience

/n

- Sound understanding of OH&S; and food safety requirements

/n

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

/n

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

/n

- A calm and professional attitude during busy service periods

/n

- Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts

/n

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

/n/n

This is a full-time position based in Lindfield, NSW.

/n
