About the Role:
/n
The Apprenticeship will provide you with the skills and knowledge for a career as a Mechanical Engineering tradesperson. You will learn a variety of skills including the design, manufacture, installation, modification, testing, maintenance and service of mechanical equipment.
/n
This is a full time fixed term apprenticeship program suited for school leavers. You will undertake formal studies at TAFE whilst being guided by professionals starting in January 2027
/n

Qualifications and Experience:
/n
Must be an Australian citizen and or permanent resident
/n
Demonstrated dedication to learning and education
/n
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
/n
Mechanically minded with a genuine interest in the trade
/n
Has a positive attitude to working in a safe and productive manner
/n
The Process:
/n
As part of One Rail Australia's recruitment and selection process, short listed applicants will be required to:
/n
Provide a recent national criminal history check
/n
Provide a Current Provisional Licence (C Class)
/n
Undertake a Category 2 Rail Medical
/n
Reference checks
/n
This position will be located at our Mackay Workshop.
/n
