About the Role:

STEPS Pathways College is looking for a passionate and engaging LLND Trainer to empower participants through Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy education.

At STEPS, we believe education creates prospect. Our LLND programs support participants to build essential foundation skills, increase confidence, overcome barriers, and progress towards employment, further training, and greater independence.

As an LLND Trainer, you'll play a key role in delivering meaningful learning experiences while building strong connections with participants, referral agencies, employers and community organisations.

What You’ll Do:

- Deliver engaging Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy (LLND) training programs tailored to participant needs.
- Create safe, inclusive and learner-centred environments that promote engagement and success.
- Adapt training resources, delivery methods and learning activities to support diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Build relationships with participants, referral agencies, community organisations and local employers.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with contractual and RTO requirements.

What You'll Bring:

- A genuine passion for helping people achieve their education, employment and personal development goals.
- Strong communication, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.




- The ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse cultural, educational and social backgrounds.
- Highly regarded:
- Experience delivering LLND, Foundation Skills, Adult Education, SEE Programs or related training.
- Experience working with disadvantaged, culturally diverse, or vulnerable cohorts.
- Foundation Skills, Adult Literacy, or TESOL-related qualifications
- Mandatory:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116/TAE40110) or equivalent (e.g. Degree or higher in Adult Education)
- TAESSS00026 Foundation Skills Integration Skill Set or TAESS00009 Address Foundation Skills in Vocational Practice Skill Set (or willingness to obtain)
- A current Working with Children card (Ochre Card)
- Evidence of ongoing right to work in Australia
- Ability to return an acceptable National Police Check

Contract Details:

- Based in Palmerston, NT with some travel required to our Casuarina site.
- Full-time position
- Fixed term until 30/06/2026
