Responsibilities
Provide specialist AOD and psychiatric assessment, treatment, and clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team, supporting individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
No dedicated or allocated inpatient beds, but offer day admissions at the Day Withdrawal Service (DWS) for alcohol withdrawal management, accepting up to 6 patients.
Deliver cover to the In‑Hospital Team (IHT) that provides CL‑AOD input for acute mental health inpatients or other patients admitted to the Cairns Hospital ED for medical or surgical reasons.
Work Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30, with no nights or weekends.
